JUNE NEWSLETTER
Dear Readers,
With the arrival of the month of June, we enter into the sixth month of the Gregorian calendar and one of four with the length of 30 days. This month is named for the Roman goddess Juno, wife of Jupiter.
In the pagan wheel of the year, Summer Solstice, also known as Midsummer, Litha, or St. John's Day, occurs in the middle of June. It is a celebration of the beginning of summer and the longest day of the year. The summer solstice has been a time of grand tribal gathering since ancient times. The Goddess manifests as Mother Earth and the God as the Sun King. Colors are Blue, Yellow, and Green. It is a holiday of community sharing and planetary service.
