2004 offers us the opportunity for us to be agents of the Infinite, to allow the Universe to work through us.  It's a year when we will thrive on all levels if we can practice this alchemy: sex into sixth sense, emotion into devotion, and greed into giving.

It's a year to create harmony in our relationships and resolve the issues which have created disharmony in our dealings with others.  If one can perfect one's base (home and community) all doors will be open to them.

Overall this is a "6" year (2+0+0+4).  Six is the number of the angels, meditation and prayer, focus, the immune system, speed, Divine Creation, and masculinity.  It's ruled by Venus, the goddess of Love.  6 relates to what in Kundalini Yoga is called the arcline

The arcline is the beaming power of the mind and can be seen as an energy rainbow, from earlobe to earlobe across the hairline. The arcline is a literal forcefield that neutralizes negative energy.

According to yoga the arcline can even neutralize viruses.  How to strengthen the arcline?  Meditation and prayer.  Also, living with a clear conscience and resovling self-doubt.

Meditation is when one lets the Universe talk to them and prayer is when one talks to the Universe.  There are many forms of meditation and prayer.

Here are two meditations to build the arcline:

Meditation 1

  • Sit with a straight spine.  Your eyes are a tiny bit open looking down and in towards the tip of the nose.  Your hands are framing the sternum as if holding a ball.  The hand on top is palm down, the hand on the bottom is palm up.

  • Inhale in eight parts (sniffs), and exhale in eight.

  • By the eighth inhale your lungs are filled and by the eighth exhale, empty.  This breath is through the nose on both the inhale and exhale.

  • Do this for 3 - 11 min.  This gives energy and engenders mental focus. It is the perfect preparation for any subsequent meditation or prayer.

Meditation 2

The 2nd meditation was purportedly practiced by Jesus on his sojourn to India.  According to Kundalini Yoga it can make one into a powerful natural healer.  It's also really great for mental focus and intuition.

  • As you inhale think Sat Nam (rhymes with "but mom") 16x in.

  • Sit with a straight spine.  With the eyes closed focus up and in towards the third eye, on a line between the eyebrows, an inch above the bridge of the nose.

  • Breathe long and light through the nose.  A gently pulsating rhythm.

  • As you exhale think Wahe Guru (wah-hay-guru) 16x in, the same rhythm.

  • Practice this 11 - 31 min.

There are many forms of prayer:

  • visualizing your higher desires, talking to a higher power or guide, anything beyond you, real or imagined, making lists, and affirming your strengths. Remember that worrying is praying for what you don't want to have happen!
  • If you feel you are ready to be an agent of the Infinite, let your prayer be:

Let me be a channel for the highest spiritual good.

You will thus be given the opportunities to heal, uplift, and inspire, and whatever attributes are necessary for the fulfillment of that task will be granted to you.
